The basis for a just society

The basis for a just society

The basis for a just society

One of the most pressing problems in modern society has become the decline of adab (ethics). This is especially evident in the younger generation. Young people stop showing adab not only towards their elders, but also towards those who have been revered at all times.

Adab, which includes etiquette, decent moral behavior and rules of good manners, is one of the foundations of a healthy society. Most modern social problems, including injustice and the general degradation of moral values, can be considered a consequence of the lack of adab - in other words, proper upbringing.

Adab is not just good manners, it is crucial for the formation of a person’s character, especially children and youth. It implies instilling in each member of society respect, kindness, honesty, humility and other qualities necessary for the well-being of any society.

A society in which each person does what he pleases is not a developed society. This can be considered a society that is at the beginning of its formation or is moving towards its extinction - in other words, these are just the remains of society.

Adab beautifies a person’s life and shows his positive sides to others, even if he himself hides them. Adab can be called a believer’s weapon or his good companion. It does not lose its value over time and is not forgotten, even if its owner dies.

However, some think that they have the character of a righteous person and do not see their own vices. If a person learns to notice his vices and shortcomings, he will learn adab, and there will be much less reproaches addressed to him.

Today, people try to decorate themselves, their clothes, car, house, etc., but the character of a believer should be more beautiful than all these worldly goods, and his deeds should be more significant than his words.

Nothing distinguishes a person as much as the manifestation of adab, and beautiful clothes, a car, a house, etc. are dust in the eyes of those who are not able to see real values. Such a character - with adab - can only be appreciated by worthy people.

The formation of a society based on the principles of adab begins with the upbringing of children. Everyone who creates a social unit must be ready for this before entering into marriage. Spouses must be ready to raise children who will observe the principles of good behavior in society.
