Islamic Fashion

Fashion style signifies a certain identity, where wardrobe can be one of the most obvious benchmarks for an entire range of civilizations from outward appearance. With a certain style of dress, a person can position himself as a differentiator, which in turn develops into the identity of a group or society that is unique to others. The basic concept of Moslem Sportwear is a further development of the concept of the fashion industry which is packaged in Islamic law.

Therefore, the product, business, orientation, and other aspects offered must be in Islamic law. Moslem Sportwear is a blend of Islamic business concepts and Islamic fashion. As a Muslim, it is obligatory for us to have Muslim clothes that can support our appearance, not only in terms of visuals, but also the comfort and need for these clothes. Like when we want to attend a formal or casual event, we need clothes that can support our appearance.

In fact, even if we do sports, we need clothes that are suitable for a Muslim woman. As the most populous country in the world, Indonesia itself has a high economic value in the Islamic fashion industry. This is a decisive advantage for Indonesia to develop the Islamic fashion industry, a long-term plan with the productivity and creativity of economic actors and designers, which can make Indonesia a mecca for Islamic fashion in the world.

Halal Industry Development and Creative Economy

Consumption has a very big importance in the economy, because a life definitely requires consumption activity. Ignore consumption means neglecting human life and its duties. The main purpose of consumption in Islam is to support obedience and devotion to Allah the Almighty. Consumption activities are part of economic activities that aim to collect blessings or reward values for the happiness of the world and the hereafter.

The consumption motive taught by Islam is basically maslahah (public interest or general human good) for fulfilling needs and obligations through quality stages. Consumption is very influential on economic stability. The higher the level of consumption, the higher the changes in economic activity. The needs of human life always develop in line with the demands of the times.

The lifestyle of today’s society has followed the lifestyle of developed countries; a hedonic lifestyle causes people to behave consumptively. In halal fashion, it is not only related to the hijab and hijab, there are many kinds of Muslim clothing that we can find on the market. One of them is Muslim sports clothing.

Muslim women certainly need these clothes to feel comfortable to do indoor and outdoor sports activities. Fashion designers are currently making various kinds of innovations to create comfortable and safe Muslim sportswear for Muslim women, one of which had a Soft Launch at Embracing Jakarta Muslim Fashion. In this fashion show, many collections were displayed from the designers who were present at the event. One of them is as in the following picture.

The era of the pandemic awakens people to live healthily. Sport is part of the current Islamic Lifestyle - how Muslims, especially Muslim women, can exercise and still dress according to Sharia. Fashion designers are currently making various kinds of innovations to create Muslim sportswear that is in appropriate accord. It is hoped that in the future the halal fashion industry will create more Muslim clothing, especially sports clothing so that the future of the halal fashion industry will improve.
