Five phrases that hurt every woman

“The word strikes like an arrow”, “From the word is salvation, from the word is destruction”, “Fear not the knife, but the tongue.”

The wisdom of dozens of generations of our ancestors is contained in these proverbs. Indeed, our language is a sword, and every word can become salvation or it can bring down, destroy, trample. There are phrases that can be easily recognized: they bring good or evil, hatred or love, war or peace. Another category is words that sound quite neutral. But if you look at it, they hit our fragile female psyche painfully.

1. “Relax, why worry about such nonsense?”

A woman is a fountain of emotions. Every month, depending on the phase of her cycle, she goes through hormonal storms. Women’s nature is unstable, unlike men’s. Yes, we can cry over things that seem insignificant at first glance. Not always able to understand our emotions. But what do we expect from our loved ones at such moments? Are they the phrases: “This is such stupidity, do not pay attention to this nonsense”? How much more happy families there would be in the world if at such moments a woman was hugged and a few kind words were said! Or, following the advice of psychologist Marcia Berger, they gave her the opportunity to speak and nodded understandingly, listening carefully about her experiences.

2. “Divorce.”

This terrible word, spoken thoughtlessly, has caused the separation of many loving couples. As you know, in Islam the word “divorce” in the mouth of a man has destructive power. Psychologists warn that the head of the family should not even approach this topic unless he really intends to separate from his wife. According to experts, the topic of divorce in a woman’s mouth has a completely different meaning. In this way, the wife can show that she is scared and lonely, although in fact she has no desire to destroy the family, even in her thoughts.

3. “Your meal can in no way be compared to that my mother cooks.”

Of course, for every son, mother’s food is the most delicious. The mother washes better, cleans better, she raised three children on their feet, has cows and a vegetable garden - everything was on the shoulders of this beautiful and strong woman. But by constantly reproaching one’s wife for this, what result does the husband want to achieve? Self-doubt, feelings of inferiority, irritation, anger. No one wants to see a woman drowning in these emotions next to them.

4. “Stop reminding me, I do not need you to tell me what to do.”

As psychologist Marcia Berger states, in these words a woman feels male’s indifference; her partner signals, “You got me. I don’t care about you, your needs.” Women react especially sharply to such phrases when men ignore their requests for a long time.

5. “Why are you offended? This is a joke.”

Most women have an ordinary sense of humor. Not everyone likes to be joked about, especially if the jokes concern weight, appearance, or habits. It will take many years to develop immunity against the jokes of your humorist husband. Agree that when a man cheers himself up by forcing the people most vulnerable and close to him to experience unpleasant emotions, is wrong.
