Let’s go to Mecca!

Let’s go to Mecca!

In everyday life, in the whirlwind of worldly affairs, we sometimes do not have even a free minute to sincerely turn to the Creator. And for this reason, we are constantly in a hurry to go somewhere, are angry and nervous, sometimes despairing and are in a constant state of tension. Every day we hope that a miracle will happen, we wait for something new and we hope for the best.

However, as a rule, nothing special happens the next day and life goes on. As in the movie “Groundhog Day”, when day after day the same thing is repeated: work - home, home – work and so on. Even to the formal “How are you, what is new?” one does not know how to answer with originality.

Each of us at some point understands that we are tired of everything, we do not have enough strength, we want to disconnect ourselves from worries and vanity and just relax. Not to think about work, about problems and about everything that distracts us from our real purpose and mission on this planet – the worship of the Almighty.

An excellent way out of this situation is a trip to the minor hajj - Umrah.

Usually, a pilgrimage programme includes a stay in the radiant Medina - the city of the beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ - and the performance of the rites of the minor pilgrimage in the venerable Mecca.

Medina and Mecca are the great shrines of Islam, the mere mention of which makes the heart stop. All Muslims dream of visiting them.

The value and importance of the Hajj and Umrah are known to everyone from the Koran and the noble Sunna of the Prophet ﷺ: there is no need to provide separate evidence of this importance.

Pilgrimage provides us with the opportunity to turn to the One who can solve all our problems and relieve us of difficulties. As soon as we set foot in the holy lands, a new wonderful and blessed world opens up for us and everything that has weighed us down and strained us seems so insignificant. This whole “storm in a teacup” that we created in our daily hustle and bustle begins to seem primitive and even funny.

Umrah gives us the opportunity to look at our life from the outside, to rethink it, to see our mistakes and failures and to rise above the situation. We come to the realisation and understanding of how aimlessly we burned our lives before the pilgrimage. Therefore, the pilgrimage is simply necessary for everyone who wants to find themselves, to change their lives for the better and reach a new, more effective level of development.

With the first step in the holy land, a person plunges into an indescribable atmosphere of grace, into a new spiritual world where peace and complete tranquility reign. It cannot be otherwise, because the Messenger of God, our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and other messengers of God, peace be upon them all, walked on this land.

And the understanding comes that this state is exactly the earthly happiness that we are constantly trying to find. Mecca and Medina are shrouded in grace and in them are the best of all people the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the sacred Kaaba and the great history of Islam.

Therefore, trusting in the Creator, see when your vacation is scheduled and start preparing for the trip to Umrah. Fortunately, in every country there is a very professionally structured work in organising the pilgrimage. May the Almighty call us all to Hajj and Umrah.
